We produce four different red wines. For the young wines we wanted to stay on the "typicité" using varieties which are representatives of Spain (Tempranillo) and Aragon (Garnacha). This two wines have spent 3 months in american and french barrels. We elaborate likewise wines with a longer aging process, the Crianza and Reserva. The crianza is a coupage of Tempranillo 40%, Garnacha 40% and Cabernet Sauvignon 20%. The Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40% and Syrah 20%.
Jordán de Asso winery also produces a wonderful sparkling wine, prepared with the Macabeo and Chardonnay varieties according to the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle. For this wine, Javier Guelbenzu has applied all the knowledge and experience acquired in Reims (Champagne), with the ultimate aim of achieving a highly-refined production and an optimum quality-price ratio. The discovery of these Cariñena wines made in and for the 21st century can only be a true pleasure.
